A slitting machine is a pre- and post-press device that cuts large rolls of paper, film, non-woven fabric, aluminum foil, mica tape, and other thin materials into smaller rolls of varying widths. It is commonly used in papermaking and printing/packaging machinery.

Previously, the magnetic powder clutch speed of slitting machines could not be high because high-speed friction of the magnetic powder during operation easily caused high temperatures, shortening its lifespan and, in severe cases, jamming, hindering machine operation and leading to serious production consequences.

This significantly impacted production efficiency. Currently, dual-frequency conversion motor control is used, allowing the magnetic powder friction to be kept at a certain level even when the diameter of the wound material increases, thus preventing high temperatures.
