The surface slitting machine adopts surface friction-driven rewind principle. Unlike center-drive slitter, the rewind shafts have no independent drive; material rolls are rotated by friction from surface driving rollers. It is widely used for slitting and rewinding paper, non-woven fabric, film, foam and other web materials.
The surface slitting machine equipped with air-expansion shaft for unwinding, hydraulic shaft-less loading is optional for heavy master rolls. EPC web guide system tracks material edge in real-time to prevent web deviation. Constant tension control delivers soft tension output to avoid material elongation and wrinkling.
Key advantages: Stable tension across changing roll diameters; excellent capacity for large finished roll diameter; simple structure and easy maintenance; good tolerance for inner core diameter deviation.

Surface Winding Mechanism
Unlike conventional center winding, the surface slitting machine adopts a combination of center winding and surface‑contact winding. This method ensures uniform stress on materials during winding and delivers more consistent and stable winding quality. Slitting and Tension Control
The surface slitting machine is generally fitted with reliable cutting tools such as circular knives or air knives, and adopts a photoelectric automatic deviation‑correction system to prevent material deviation during movement.
